Since 2010 Claudio Lugo is running a research project (Instant Composer Secluded Setting Tour/Playing for Elves) based on recording impromptu performances in some naturalistic and relevant secluded places around the world. Iceland, Greenland, Denmark, Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego, Morocco, Mongolia, Namibia, Lapland, Balkan Mountains, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Cappadocia, Indonesia, Greece, Peru, Bolivia, Nepal, Faroe Islands and Italy are the Countries reached so far. “Playing for Elves” (The storytelling saxophone) is a 50’ movie (+live) containing a selection of recordings and related photos of outdoor impro-settings (plus 'backstage') and video documentation of some local musicians performance. During live projection Lugo will play some ‘self-duets’ with the field recordings.
