HELEN MIRRA Walking and weaving - GIANNI PETTENA Natural Architecture
From 22 July -24 September 2017 Merano Arte will host two exhibitions: The American artist Helen Mirra (born 1970 in Rochester, New York, lives in San Francisco) and Gianni Pettena (born 1940 in Bolzano, lives in Florence).
Who is still Austrian?
On the occasion of commemorating the 700th anniversary of giving the Municipal Regulations to Merano, 5 artists - Nicolò Degiorgis, François-Xavier Gbré, Runo Lagomarsino, Sonia Leimer, Renato Leotta - question themselves on the social and historical changes that have interested the South Tyrolean town.
EXHIBITION PAINTINGS
In the last few years various artists have stepped back to study painting in depth as an expressive means, with all the possible alternative approaches to this medium. They see in painting a possibility of emancipation from actual working conditions.

Constructive Alps
On occasion of the third edition of the international architectural award «Constructive Alps», the Swiss Alpine Museum and the Swiss Federal Office for Spatial Development have set up an exhibition on the topic of "Renovating and Building Sustainably in the Alps".
GESTURES - Women in action
With the exhibition "GESTURES – Women in Action" that will be held from February 6 to April 10, 2016, Merano Arte presents 40 works – photographs, videos, objects, collages – that are a representative cross-section of female Body Art from the 1960s until today.
11th Contemporary Art Day AMACI
This year, again Merano Arte will participate in the Contemporary Art Day. The Contemporary Art Day is an initiative of the national association of museums, AMACI, and invites its members as well as 1,000 further art institutions to open their doors, free of charge, for one day.
The Architecture of the 1920s and 1930s in Merano
With regard to architectural trends, Merano buildings and projects from the interwar period will be juxtaposed, introduced, and placed in the context of urban planning. The topic is part of a comprehensive research project on the design and appearance of the town of Merano from 1860 to 1960.
Alois Kuperion - Painting is My Meaning in Life
Merano: on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Alois Kuperion - he passed away on January 17, 1966 - , Merano Arte will hold a large retrospective of the life and works of the wandering painter from the Vinschgau from October 10, 2015 to January 10, 2016.

For the first time, MERANO ARTE presents a double exhibition of works by the Italo-American artist Francesca Woodman (*1958–†1981) and the Austrian artist Birgit Jürgenssen (*1949–†2003).

The joint project of the curators Éric Mangion, director of Centre National d’art contemporain Villa Arson, and Valerio Dehò, art manager at Merano arte, presents the works of five Italian and five French emerging artists: Tony Fiorentino, Leander A. Schwazer, Sonia Leimer, Julia Frana, and Roberto Pugliese as well as Diane Blondeau, Lorraine Châteaux, Quentin Derouet, Vivien Roubaud, and Thomas Teurlai.
